Your role:
Collaborate on installations and upgrades of customer systems in cooperation with local service technicians
Lead (on-site and remote) local service staff in troubleshooting or installing customer systems
Prepare systems for customer acceptance
Assist with troubleshooting of systems at customer sites
Repair and restore faulty systems at customer sites
Support the creation and maintenance of service documentation
Contribute to the development of spare-parts concepts (definition of spare parts and spare-parts demand)
Deliver initial and ongoing technical training for Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH (SMS) service technicians; course language: English
Communicate identified equipment weaknesses to Development and Manufacturing
Provide service requirements to R&D for new and ongoing developments
Support global service technicians through 2nd level tech support and hotline support
Assist in the preparation of repair quotes
Your profile:
Successfully completed university studies as a physicist or engineer in the fields of electrical engineering, optics, laser technology, precision mechanics, or a technician with several years of relevant professional experience
Willingness to travel worldwide (50%)
Preferably field service experience in optical or electron-optical areas
High level of communication, teamwork, assertiveness, and sense of responsibility
Confident in dealing with customers
Goal-oriented, structured, and independent work style
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Open to other cultural circles
