The main tasks and responsibilities, as a Structural Analysis Engineer (d/f/m), will be those ones associated with the development of stress methods and tools. This will be complemented by structural analyses for aerospace structures and comprises the following non-exclusive tasks:

  • Development, improvement and validation of stress methods
  • Contribution to all stages of the software development life cycle for existing tools and new tools. This includes the development, adaptation and maintenance of our SW code incl. verification and validation activities.
  • Continuous support to Stress teams in the frame of stress methods and software
  • Performance of project work related to structure analysis (e.g. stress analysis, overall aircraft sizing and Multi-Disciplinary Optimisation - MDO)
  • Interaction with international structure analysis teams
  • Bachelor's / Master's in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in structure analysis using non-numerical / handbook methods is required
  • Experience in FEM analysis is mandatory
  • Programming skills required in Python and C++, FORTRAN is desired
  • Be familiar with agile SW development
  • Good understanding of the application of AI methods in SW development is an advantage
  • Advanced level in German and English required; fluency in preparing written technical documentation in English is a must-have.
  • Proactive and positive teamwork attitude in a transnational environment
